Julie 'Jules' Rafter (nee Taylor) is the daughter of Ted Taylor and is the maritarch of the Rafter family. She is the mother of Rachel, Ben, Nathan and Ruby Rafter. She was the mother-in-law of Sammy Rafter and the late Melissa Rafter. She is also the aunt of Coby and Bree Jennings and is the mother figure of Carbo whom she has known since he was little.
